Progress is being made at the forest!
New track signage is being installed and now you can walk the tracks and easily find your way to our picnic spots, toilets and to and from the entrance/exit to the Forest.
The 1922 cowshed which had reached a mostly dilapidated state has new support structures and a new roof.
The many years of accumulated detritus has mostly been removed.
The cowshed will become the welcoming centre for talks, briefing visitors and health and safety. On wet days it can be used to have an ‘indoors picnic’.
We have erected a significant sign at the ‘cowshed’ to acknowledge a short history of the Forest, options for your visit and health and safety.
There is also a map of the Forest and the tracks you can easily take a photo to help with your visit.
